PANJIM: Directorate of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship on Tuesday suspended another ITI Farmagudi, Group Instructor, Vishnu Naik, for allegedly harassing and extorting money from students of the institute.
“There are allegations against the instructor that he has been harassing the students and extorting money from them. The students have said that they have been punished for coming late, for not having proper haircut and even for not buttoning up their shirts properly,” said an official from the Directorate of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship
ITI students had boycotted classes on Monday alleging harassment, extortion and corporal punishment by the instructor.
The students also alleged that the instructor had been meting out various types of punishment and also extorting money from them.
