MARGAO: A day after the Margao Municipal employees said a flat no to the civic plan to implement bio-metric finger scan readers, Chief Officer Deepali Naik said that she would invite the employees for another round of discussions to allay their apprehensions over the new system of recording attendance.
The Chief Officer had a meeting with Municipal Chairperson Arthur D’Silva wherein they are believed to have discussed the employees’ decision not to follow the bio-metric scan readers.
The Chief Officer told Herald that she would reply to the points raised by the employees in a day or two and invite them for another round of discussions on the matter. “Let me make it clear that I have no intention to bulldoze my way with the bio-metric finger scan readers. I have gone through the contents of the letter received from the Goa Municipal Employees Association and the Civic body would reply to the Association by Wednesday,” she said.
