PERNEM: A massive fire broke out at the Amrapali hill at Junaswada in Mandrem on Friday night.
The blazes were so severe that the entire hill was gutted. The Pernem Fire Station officials rushed to the site but the area being hilly, the firemen had a hard time fighting the flames.
Locals stated that this particular property was sold to a non Goan and suspected that the hill must have been set afire to clear the vegetation.
