PANJIM: The Tuem factory blast has claimed the life of a second victim, who was undergoing treatment at Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC) after suffering grievous injuries last week.
Local youth Akhil Naik, succumbed to injuries at GMC on Wednesday. He was admitted in a critical condition in the hospital along with two other labourers.
Naik is the second to die. Labourer Ajit Sonba Nake was the first who lost his life.
Pernem police have booked a case against factory owner Rajendra Joshi for culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
The blast had occurred at the factory manufacturing Cement Blocks at Tuem on Saturday January 12, injuring nine people, of whom three were critically injured.
