Apna ghar escape bid: Department suspects its staff

PANJIM: The Directorate of Women and Child Welfare has suspected the involvement of its own staff at Apna Ghar to facilitate futile escape bid of four inmates on Saturday afternoon.

Director Deepali Naik has ordered an inquiry seeking report within 24 hours. Four boys, aged 16 and 17 years were hiding in the campus where the upgradation of the building is currently underway.
They were located soon thereafter and lodged back in the remand-cum-shelter home.
The boys hail from Karnataka and Kerala.
The Directorate of Women and Child Welfare  higher ups are however suspecting foul into the incident.
Sources said involvement of Apna Ghar staff is not ruled out.
