PANJIM: Archbishop-Patriarch Filipe Neri Ferrao has sent his greetings to the Hindu community on the occasion of Ganesh festival.
In his message, Archbishop Ferrao said: “As our Hindu brothers and sisters celebrate the Ganesh festivities, I join them in their joys. I take this opportunity to pray that the Lord’s blessings may be showered upon them.”
“Acknowledging that this an occasion when they return to their ancestral home, the place where all of us learn to live in peace and harmony, I wish that all of us rise to the occasion and widen our horizons to pray for peace the world over especially in regions where it is threatened by dangerous clouds of war.”
“Let us, then, join hands in promoting these values in our homes and around us for a lasting peace,” stated the Archbishop in his message.
