The resort was located in Survey No. 158/0 of Ar pora-Nagoa village while the nightclub which was destroyed in fire was built in Survey No. 159/0. The action comes in connection with Anjuna Police Station linked to the Birch by Rome Lane night club fire incident of which Khosla is reported to be the owner of the land in volved. Khosla is currently stated to be in the UK and the police have issued a Blue Corner Notice. Though there were as many as 108 structures in Survey No. 158/0 at Sank wadi, of these, 24 were earlier in the possession of Khosla, who was later accused of encroaching in open spaces too. Meanwhile, the High Court of Bombay at Goa on Wednesday continued hearing arguments on the anticipatory bail applica tions filed by the disqual ified Arpora-Nagoa Sar panch Roshan Redkar and the dismissed panchayat secretary, Raghuvir Bag kar, in connection with the Arpora fire case. Opposing the anticipa tory bail pleas, the pros ecution contended that both, Redkar and Bag kar were responsible for wrongly issuing a trade li cence to the nightclub and for providing incorrect information regarding the same to the Excise Depart ment. The High Court will con tinue hearing the arguments on Friday. The move to seal the resort assumes signifi cance as the Goa legislative Assembly is scheduled to discuss a starred question on the Arpora nightclub fire incident on Friday, Jan uary 16. It may be recalled that Chief Minister Pramod Sawant sought permission to postpone a starred ques tion related to the incident to Friday, January 16 and had stated that he was post poning the question to get additional information. The move triggered sharp protests from opposition members, who questioned how the government could postpone a question already listed in the agenda and ac companied by a minister’s reply.
