QUEPEM: Following protests by people after an elderly lady got injured when a two-wheeler fell into a pothole at Sonfator-Curchorem, authorities on swung into action and filled the pothole with concrete on Tuesday morning.
“Fortunately the two elderly people travelling on the two-wheeler survived the accident on Monday. We alerted the responsible authorities so that such incidents do not happen again here. From our side, we planted the tree saplings on the pit so that commuters are alerted,” locals said.
They also thanked the media for bringing up this issue, which prompted the authorities to take immediate action.
