SATTARI: Bambar, Nanoda villagers on Friday demanded with the government to clean the village drinking water well within 15 days, or will take a morcha at the Valpoi Water Supply Department.
The well built by the Water Supply Department, Valpoi in Bambar village, Valpoi long ago, is in a very bad condition and needs urgent repairs.
The well water is polluted due to the bad condition and the villagers are facing health problems while drinking the polluted water.
Bambar villagers have informed the Water Supply Department several times to repair the well but the officials have turned a deaf ear to the issue.
“The Valpoi Water Supply Department staff is neglecting the villagers demand,” say the villagers.
In the rainy season, the well fills with mud and bushes grow around.
