PONDA: Bandora Panchayat on Saturday organised Atmanirbhar Bharat, Swayampoorna Goa programme.
Official in-charge IAS Officer Reddy, Ponda Nodal Officer Jayant Tari, Bandora Panchayat programme in-charge and Deputy Collector of Sanguem Ajay Gaude, Bandora Sarpanch Rajesh Naik, Deputy Sarpanch and panchas were present.
Tari and Gaude said, “The government’s intention behind the programme is to make the villagers Atmanirbhar so that they can earn livelihood through various schemes. At their respective counters, the staff members of twelve government departments attended to people’s grievances.
The programme received an overwhelming response from the Bandora locals who visited each counter seeking details about various schemes and how to apply for the same.
At least two staff members were deputed at each counter. The officials from Social Welfare, Tribal Welfare, ITI, Animal Husbandry, Women and Child Development, Goa Energy Development Agency, Agriculture, Primary Health Centre and District Rural Development Agency attended. The locals also sought to information with regards to their files pending with the departments.
