MARGAO: The battle against mega housing projects in the once sleepy village of Sao Jose de Areal is far from over. With migrants literally outnumbering locals in Mugalli and the influx of outsiders threatens to dilute the Scheduled Tribes population of the village, local villagers are bracing up for a long and sustained battle against housing projects to retain the village identity.
