PORVORIM: Bharne Fashion & Lifestyle is all set to expand its business and plans to open 50 stores across India in the next couple of years.
Addressing media persons at Mapusa, Bharne Fashion & Lifestyle proprietor Sanjay Bharne said their business was started by his grandfather in 1904. “Initially, we were selling fabrics. However, in 1988 we switched over to garment business.”
“We initially had difficulties in selling garments to customers, but with the passage of time, we settled in the business. We opened our first fashion shore in Caculo Mall and we plan to open 10 such stores across the State in next two financial years,” informed Sanjay Bharne.
Samrudh Bharne said the Lifestyle store, which will be inaugurated in Mapusa on August 31, is their benchmark store for future stores to be opened across India.
“We have decided to concentrate on gents and ladies garments and accessories. After opening more branches in Goa, we will open stores in neighbouring states of Karnataka and Maharashtra,” he said.
“We are getting apparels manufactured at Mumbai and Bangalore and we also sell products of famous brands,” said Samrudh Barne.
Siddhant Bharne said merchandising is their main strength and they have surveyed the markets in India and abroad.
“The common man cannot afford to buy international brands because of huge price. Our objective is to sell products of international quality at affordable price to the customers,” said Siddhant Bharne.
