PONDA: Governor of Goa Mrudhula Sinha said even though there were formal boundaries for administrative sake only, there were no boundaries for their unity. The organisation of cultural events was important because it would bring a feeling of happiness and oneness.
This unity she said was important in this fast and competitive world. She said compared to the earlier generation, the youth of today was busy with their computers, Whatsapp and social media.
She was speaking after the inauguration of the Bihar Festival at Rajiv Gandhi Kala Mandir Ponda organised by The Art and Cultural Department of Goa Government in coordination with Art, Culture and Youth Department of Bihar Government. It will continue for three days till 24 November at the Kala Mandir.
On the occasion present were D, Art and Culture Minister for Bihar Krishna Kumar Krushi, Art and Culture Minister for Goa, Govind Gaude, Art and Culture Secretary of Bihar Yoganand Yogi, Vice president of Rajiv Kala Mandir Ajit Kerkar were present. Later Cultural programmes were staged by Bihar Artist.
Through this three days celebration, all rounded cultural image of Bihar will be showcased. Stalls are put up for the special cuisines of Bihar, handicrafts, Mithila Paintings and garments. On the occasion, with the different styles of Bihar, some exemplary exhibition of contemporary paintings exhibition is done by the Lalit Kala Academy of Bihar.
