Bihar native commits suicide
OLD GOA: A 24-year-old man from Bihar, but presently residing at Mollar-Corlim committed suicide by hanging himself to a ceiling fan in his apartment on Sunday night.
According to deceased Raju Kumar Jha’s room partner Deepak Thakur, Raju was staying in Goa for the last four years and was working in garment cloth business and during the past few days due to rain, he was not moving out anywhere and was only sitting in the shop.
Thakur further informed that he had seen Raju last on Sunday at about 11 am when he had gone to the shop. A suicide note believed to be written by Raju was kept inside the room.
Old Goa police officials led by PI Corte rushed to the spot and conducted the panchanama and later sent the body for post mortem to GMC Hospital . — (HC)
