VASCO: A 31-year-old Bihar native succumbed to his injuries sustained after suddenly collapsing on the road while returning home.
Verna Police said they received a wireless message from the Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim informing them that one Guddu Rishidev, a resident of IDC Verna and native of Bihar has been admitted in Ward No 121 after collapsing on the road. It was revealed that the deceased was a chronic alcoholic and after consuming alcohol in a bar at Verna, he was returning home. On reaching the main tar road at IDC Verna, he suddenly collapsed and sustained injuries.
He was shifted in a private vehicle and was admitted in GMC Ward No 121. He succumbed while undergoing treatment on Wednesday. PSI Shridhar S Kamat is investigating the case.
