PANJIM: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Goa has hailed the State government’s decision on night curfew while urging people’s cooperation to curb the rising COVID-19 cases.

“The COVID-19 cases are on a rise and deaths are also a matter of concern. The government is trying its best to curb these cases. However, we also need people’s cooperation to bring the COVID-19 situation under control,” BJP President Sadanand Shet Tanavade said.
He also hailed government’s decision to postpone the Goa Board’s Class X and XII examinations scheduled from this week. Several students backed by Opposition parties were demanding postponement of the exams or taking it online in the wake of increasing COVID positive cases.
Tanavade also urged people to avoid crowd and to not get into panic purchase of essential commodities and to follow the night curfew as well as COVID-19 norms. “There has to be self control and we all should cooperate with the government,” he further said.
