margao: Opposition Leader Digambar Kamat alleged that the BJP is speaking ‘blatant lies’ by claiming that the Opposition had unanimously accepted the one-day Assembly session.

The Opposition Leader questioned whether the BJP will produce minutes of All Party Meeting with signatures of Opposition MLAs substantiating their claim.

“Our acceptance was conditional as clearly mentioned in my Dissent Letter to Business Advisory Committee,” Kamat claimed.

“The lies are out of frustration and failure of the government in handling COVID pandemic and their inefficiency in reviving the economy of Goa. The BJP government stands exposed with their act of suspending all rules of the business of the House to facilitate passing of budget, 86 demands and 11 bills without any discussion,” Digambar alleged.

He also reiterated his support to the movement against the railway double tracking project and refuted allegations against him.

“I was not party to any decision nor I attended any meeting on September 5, 2019 or any other day till date with anyone to discuss and decide on any project of doubling of railway track in Goa. My support will be always to the people of Goa and their sentiments. I urge all those who spread rumours and mislead people to stop such acts and stop spreading lies,”he added.
