MARGAO: A day after Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai slammed Chief Minister, Manohar Parrikar for failing to deliver goods on the education front, Tourism Minister, Dilip Parulekar descended at Fatorda on Sunday to sing praises of the Chief Minister for the various initiatives in the field of education.
Parulekar was the chief guest at a function organised jointly by Shree Dambabale Ghodem Cultural Association and Fatorda BJP at the Ravindra Bhavan to felicitate SSC students from Fatorda constituency.
Parulekar said the government has streamlined the education loan scheme to pursue higher education in the State. “The scheme had faced many problems during the previous regime, but Parrikar has streamlined the scheme”, he said.
Parulekar said that Parrikar who also holds the Education portfolio, is committed to take education to greater heights in the State. “The CM is of the firm stand that funds should not come in the way of children who want to pursue education. Parrikar is taking personal interest in streamlining the education sector”, he said.
He said students facing difficulties in obtaining the education loan should approach Damu Naik.
In his address, Damu highlighted the activities undertaken by the cultural association at Ravindra Bhavan.
Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardessai had on Saturday lashed out at the CM saying that the most educated education minister has failed to deliver goods to the people at  a function organised by his We For Fatorda Trust to felicitate meritorious SSC students at the BPS Club.
