PANJIM: Mahila Congress President Pratima Coutinho has alleged that the BJP and other political parties have been trying to defame her by planting ex-colleague in the party.
Addressing the media at the Congress House in the capital, Pratima said that  an ex-worker of the Mahila Congress in Goa who was expelled from the party for anti-party activities has been defaming her on the various social media platforms.
“She has been planted by the BJP and those who have been opposing me and filing cases against me. They want to defame me as I have filed candidature form for the Lok Sabha seat from South Goa. People know my work and they know me and these tactics won’t work”, she said.
Stating that she would take legal course against the woman, Pratima said “I will be filing a defamation case with the IT Cell of Goa Police and other appropriate forums.”
She further added that the alleged accused was expelled from the party for anti-party activities in 2017 and hence is trying to take revenge of the humiliation.
