MARGAO: The lifeless body of an unidentified young man, believed to be around 25 years old, was discovered near the railway track in Majorda. The police suspect that he worked as an electrician, although his identity remains unconfirmed.
Assistant Sub Inspector Dattatray Naik from Margao Konkan Railway Station, accompanied by his team, visited the site. The deceased’s body was subsequently transferred to the morgue at South Goa District Hospital in Margao for a postmortem examination. During the investigation, the police found no belongings or suicide note at the site. The case has been registered under Section 174 of CrPC as an unnatural death pending further investigation.
