MARGAO: A tree falling on a tempo truck and an overhead electricity line caused a road blockage near Assolna Church. The incident led to a temporary power cut, but the fire department personnel swiftly responded to the scene, removing the tree and restoring the power supply.
Margao Fire Station Officer Gil Souza stated that a team of firefighters visited the location and successfully removed the fallen tree, reopening the road for public use. Another incident occurred near Colva Police Station, where a banyan tree had collapsed onto the road, causing damage. Firefighter SP Dessai visited the scene and cleared the fallen tree.
