A body of a man was found hanging from a tree near Amigos Hotel CurtiPonda on Sunday. Upon receiving the information, the police immediately rushed to the spot. The body has been identified as that of 47-year-old Mohamad Rafique Abdul Kadar Pathan, a resident of Kaziwada, Ponda.
A further enquiry conducted by LPSI Rashmi Bhaidkar with family members revealed that the deceased was unemployed and a chronic alcoholic. The body has been sent to Goa Medical College and Hospital in Bambolim.
