The city roads are already taking a beating due to the ongoing Smart City works in Panjim. Another road caved in at St Inez, Panjim, trapping the rear tyre of a debris-loaded truck on Monday. The road had been dug up to carry out the sewage works.
The driver of the truck managed to escape without injuries, However, commuters were left stranded on the busy road due to the traffic jam which was caused due to the incident.
