BoI Curchorem branch manager files cheating complaint

CURCHOREM: A complaint of fraudulently obtaining gold loans has been lodged against two persons by the Branch Manager of Bank of India, Raj Narayan, with the Curchorem police, on Tuesday.
In his complaint, Narayan has said that one Kalyani Phalgun Parwar (46) from Parwarwada, Bansai-Curchorem and Saroj Rajesh Shetty (29) from Ghabemorod, Xeldem-Quepem hatched a criminal conspiracy with the valuer/appraiser of BOI, Shanu Roulu Lotlikar from Kana Benaulim and obtained a gold loans to the tune of Rs 7 lakh and Rs 4,39,000, respectively, from the bank.
According to police, Narayan stated in his complaint that both the accused obtained the loans on different occasions mortgaging fake yellow metal ornaments weighing 393 grms and 247 grms, respectively. 
“The bank had sanctioned total loan of Rs 11,39,000 after the appraiser Lotlikar fully certified those fake yellow metal ornaments as genuine gold ornaments,” Narayan stated in his complaint.
Police registered the case under Section 420 r/w 120-B IPC and PI Ravindra Dessai investigating the case.
