MARGAO: There was brisk voting at the at Carmona by-election to ward No 6 on Sunday with three candidates in the fray to fill up the vacancy that was caused following the death of Josinho Mendes.
The candidates are Jack Soter Luis Fernandes, Nesbit D’Costa and Xavier Abrao Fernandes. The voter turnout was 61 per cent as 203 of the 336 registered voters cast their ballots.
