PANJIM: The month-long Brucellosis Vaccination Programme for cattle will be carried out across the State under National Animal Disease Control Programme from September 12 to October 11.
The Directorate of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services said that cattle and buffalo female calves population between the age group of 4 to 8 months including stray animals will be vaccinated first. The post vaccination sera samples will be collected from selected villages to ascertain the immune status of the herd.
The dairy farmers are requested to extend their cooperation to the teams/staff of the Department to immunise the entire cattle and buffalo calves population.
