PONDA: Tribal people from Mangueshi have accused a builder of trespassing into their property and demanded that the Ponda Police and the local panchayat initiate action in this regard.
The villagers claimed that the said property near roadside at Mangueshi is registered in names of four tenants who belong to the ST community. The locals on Sunday constructed wooden fence to restrain the builder from trespassing into their property.

Naresh Gaude said, “A builder is constructing residential complex at Mangueshi and has trespassed into the property of local tribal people to gain access to his site. The locals have opposed the residential complex and demanded that the licence be revoked citing that the said complex is coming up in a low-lying area by filling the bagayat land.”
