PONDA: The road leading to Kundaim Industrial Estate and the internal roads are in bad shape causing tremendous hardships to those travelling to the industrial estate for loading and unloading raw material and finished goods.

The workers and drivers are the worst hit due to the poor road condition leading to the Kundaim Industrial Estate. Most roads are dug up for various development works and the contractors engaged by the authorities concerned have failed to restore them, resulting in dust pollution.
Commuting on these roads is causing immense difficulties to workers, who are finding it almost impossible to negotiate the huge potholes.
The workers said that most of their colleagues fell off their vehicles and sustained injuries and had to bear heavy charges to repair their vehicles. Most roads have developed huge potholes, while at some places the tar and gravel got washed away during monsoon, which has resulted in a bumpy ride for motorists.
