PONDA: With everything is more or less affected by scare of Covid-19, the Zilla Panchayat election campaigns were at its peak in the Ponda Taluka on Wednesday.
The voters seem to be uncomfortable with the present situation but the Zilla Panchayat candidates are interested in their victory and at the same time worried whether people will come to vote in large numbers. Several vehicles of various parties and candidates were seen moving freely with the loudspeakers appealing to the voters in the panic environment.
The Goans are scared of Covid-19 infection after the State government adopted various preventive measures, which will be effective till March 31. Vishal Fadte said, “There is a guideline to maintain one-metre gap between the students appearing for the examinations. Will it be the same for the voters who stand in a queue when arrive for voting.”
