CANACONA: Due to surge in applicants for electrician and wireman trades, Canacona ITI will introduce additional classes for both these trades during current academic year.
Disclosing the starting of additional classes for electrician and wireman trades, local MLA Isidore Fernandes said that due to the stress on skill development there is a huge demand for both electrician and wireman trades, and this year over 46 students had applied for both these trades against the intake capacity of 16 students at government ITI located at Mastimoll in Canacona.
Sale of prospectus had started at Canacona ITI on June 14 for trades in electrician, electronic mechanic, diesel engine mechanic, fitter, carpenter, welder, computer operator and programming assistant.
