CANACONA: Canacona Police on Saturday held a meeting with the elected representatives of local bodies to seek their assistance on creating awareness on implementing lockdown guidelines in their respective jurisdictions.
Chavan requested them to create awareness in their respective areas regarding mandatory use of face masks, social distancing and to follow lockdown guidelines issued by the government.
They were asked to inform police in if anyone from outside the State comes and stays in their locality.
PI Tukaram Chavan chaired the meeting which was attended by chairperson of Canacona municipality Nitu Desai, Khola sarpanch Purna Nayak, Loliem sarpanch Shailesh Pagi, Agonda sarpanch Pramod Phaldesai, Shristal sarpanch Ganesh Gaonkar and Gaondongrim sarpanch Suman Gaonkar.
