CANACONA: The incessant rains continued to disrupt the day-to-day life in Canacona on Tuesday as well. The locals were struggling to move around as the roads were flooded. In the morning five fishermen from Palolem who had gone into the sea had a narrow escape when their canoe hit a rock and capsised.
Fortunately, the lifeguards immediately jumped into the waters and rescued them.
The Gaodongri-Netravali route was blocked in the evening as a huge tree was uprooted and fell on the road at Ambeghat. The Canacona fire tenders soon rushed to the site and cleared the road.
The locals have expressed concerns regarding a possible landslide near Agonda-Saleri bridge.
