A Maruti Ritz allegedly drove away from Sahakari Petroleum at Curti, Ponda, while the fuel nozzle was still connected to the vehicle during refuelling on July 16, resulting in damage to the petrol station’s dispensing system and underground pipeline.
According to the complaint, the vehicle was being refuelled when it allegedly drove off without the nozzle being disconnected. The impact reportedly pulled the dispensing unit from its foundation and damaged the underground pipeline.

The incident resulted in the loss of approximately 9,603 litres of petrol, with the fuel reportedly valued at around Rs 9.98 lakh.
The incident caused significant damage to the fuel station infrastructure, while the circumstances surrounding the incident are being examined.
