PANJIM: Ladu Chari, who was seriously injured after a vehicle knocked him down at Carambolim, near Old Goa, on October 2, succumbed to his injuries on Saturday.
The 48-year-old victim from Divar was hit by an unidentified vehicle as he was walking on the footpath.
The victim was immediately rushed to the Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Bambolim for treatment where he succumbed to injuries after battling for his life for the last five days on Saturday, police said.
An FIR under Sections 279, 338, 304 (A) of IPC and 134 (AB) of MV Act has been registered against unknown person at the Old Goa Police Station.
