According to authorities, Almeida’s health is stable and he is out of danger. He has been kept under observation under GMC neuro specialists.
“Carlos is getting stable. There is slow recovery from brain stroke post clot removal. He will be in GMC under the care of the neuro specialists,” hospital sources said.
Speaking to Herald, BJP spokesperson Siddharth Kuncaliencar confirmed this saying, “Carlos is now shifted to GMC and he is completely stable and out of danger. He is under the care of the neuro specialists at GMC.”
Hospital sources had said that the MRI of the brain revealed a right anterior cerebral artery (ACA) infarct for which he was evaluated by neurologists and was thrombolysed using thrombolytic agent within the window period.
As per information received from his relatives, Almeida had complained of knee pain after breakfast and fallen unconscious. He was immediately taken to a private hospital in Vasco, and then shifted to a private hospital in Panjim for MRI scanning.
