VASCO: Two four-wheelers, wagonR and Swift cars along with 5 bikes were damaged due to fire breakdown at Adarshnagar, Chicalim on Monday early morning. Fire fighting officials suspect the cause of fire due to the short circuit and battery explosion in the parked WagonR.
Sources from the Fire fighting department, informed that on Monday early morning at around 3.15 am Vasco Fire station received a call that two four-wheelers caught fire at Adarshnagar, Chicalim.
Fire fighting personnel rushed at the site and extinguished the fire within 45 minutes, the Fire Dept officials said.
Sources further stated that cause of the fire is not known but officials suspect it might be due to a short circuit and battery explosion in the wagonR car.
After flames were doused, fire fighters learnt there were more vehicles damaged.
