MARGAO: The Maina-Curtorim police have registered a case of breach of trust against three employees of Raia-based Tonia Liqour Industries for misappropriating an amount of Rs 13.21 lakh.
Acting on a complaint lodged by Mario Sequeira, the police have registered an offence under section 408 read with 34 of IPC against the three.
In his complaint, Sequeira stated that Surender Gautan (40), Ajani Kumar (43) and Jagatpal Singh (31) were deployed by the company at Chandigarh since December 2010. He has alleged that Kumar on August 20, 2011, had requested 250 cases of various brands of liquor from the company worth Rs 4,69,487, while Gautan had requested for 300 cases worth Rs 9,25, 92 on February 4, 2012.
