PANJIM: The Congress party Friday demanded scrapping of all 79 allotments of plots made at the Tuem Industrial Estate, including those made to Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar’s son Abhijat and Tourism Minister Dilip Parulekar’s brother Pramod.
“All the land allotments should be scrapped and auctioned,” party spokesman Sudip Tamhankar demanded, terming the entire process as ‘illegal.’
“The allotments were done without converting the plots for non-agricultural use, and without any sanad, NOCs or approvals from the forest and town and country planning departments.
The applications for allotment of plots were invited between August 24, 2012 and September 24, 2012,” he said.
When Tamhankar was asked to produce documents to substantiate his claims, he said that he would submit them to the Anti-Corruption Branch where he has lodged a complaint against the chief minister, his son Abhijat and others including Board of Directors, for illegally allotting the plot to Abhijat.
“Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, as the Chairman of GIDC, acting in conspiracy/ connivance with others including the Board of Directors of IDC, became a party for illegal benefits/gratification received by him through allotment of IDC plot to his son,” the complaint reads.
The ACB officials confirmed having received the complaint, but an FIR is yet to be registered.
