Canacona: A case is registered against a Chiplem resident at Canacona police station for jostling the sarpanch of Poinguinim VP on Thursday when he was supervising the cutting and trimming of roadside trees in his ward.
Sources at Canacona police station providing information on the incident said that following a complaint by Jagdish Gaonkar, sarpanch of Poinguinim VP, an offence is registered on the accused a resident of Chipem in Poinguinim for allegedly pushing and holding the shirt collar of the complainant when he was overseeing the cutting and trimming roadside trees in his ward on Thursday.
Police said that a case is registered against the accused under section 353 of IPC for obstructing with force the sarpanch of Poinguinim VP from discharging his duty.
