PANJIM: The Corporation of City of Panaji (CCP) on Wednesday approved the contract for phase three of the pay parking in the city to the same contractor as he was the highest bidder.
Speaking to reporters after the CCP meeting, Mayor Rohit Monserrate said, “The same contractor has bagged the contract for phase three pay parking. The CCP will earn Rs 1.6 crore as revenue from this. There were other bidders too but the quotation of particular bidder was the highest.”

The Corporation had floated a tender of the Phase III pay parking, whereby competitive bids were invited by e-tender after evaluating there was a highest bidder (Sohan Juwarkar), who had quoted an amount of Rs 1.62 crore inclusive of GST. The agreement has to be executed for a period of three years.
