PANJIM: As the State’s Capital City ranks among the five places in reporting the highest number of active cases, the Corporation of the City of Panaji has stepped up efforts to crackdown on the violators of COVID-19 norms.

Public places such as markets are on the top of the list where CCP officials are keeping a check on the violators.  “We are warning people flouting the health norms and have also started issuing challans to individuals without face masks. Everybody needs to have responsibility. People have to be safe and create safe environment for others too. The government is doing what it can and so also the CCP,” said Mayor Rohit Monserrate.
