MARGAO: Thousands of devotees will miss the grand celebration of a very unique festival called “Khandi Khuris of Maina-Curtorim”, on August 20, due to COVID-19 pandemic, as the Khandi Khuris Committee and Xetkars has appealed to the devotees not to visit the place, as there will be no celebration.

The committee has declared that the entry to the Cross Chapel will be closed from August 19 to 21. However, arrangements have been made for the devotees to participate in virtual Eucharistic Celebration on the CCRTV channel on August 20, at 7 am. A Miraculous Cross that is present is visited by scores of devotees every year and prayers are offered.
