PANJIM: The Union Ministry of Finance released an amount of Rs 213.09 crore to Goa on Thursday under the back-to-back loan facility to meet the shortfall in GST compensation.
This was part of the Rs 40,000 crore that the Finance Ministry released to States and Union Territories (UT).
As per the statement issued by the Ministry, out of the Rs 213.09 crore, Rs 125.19 crore is from the 5-year tenure and Rs 87.90 crore is from 2-year tenure (that is 5 and 2 years borrowings of Government of India in securities respectively).
