PANJIM: Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Kunal IAS launched a voter awareness song on Thursday.
As a part of creating Voter Awareness among the people, the CEO’s office has been conducting various activities to enlighten the citizens about the importance of enrolment in electoral rolls and to participate in the election process.
The voter awareness song with garba beats was launched on the occasion of Navratri festival. Indian Sign language interpreter was also included in the song for wider awareness, especially among the Persons with Disabilities (PwD)
The song has been written and composed by Bindiya Vasta and music arrangements have been done by Mukesh Ghatwal, both election icons. Besides Vasta and Ghatwal, Pravin Gawas is the other singer in the song. Video editing has been done by Sameer Adkonkar.
The service of Josephina Fernandes, Indian sign language interpreter, was utilized to comply with the guidelines of Election Commission of India (ECI) of inclusive elections so that the message on the content of the video could reach out to the concerned PwD voters.
The song was launched in the presence of Additional CEO Narayan Sawant; Joint CEO Aisha Vaingankar; Deputy CEO Sangeeta Naik; SVEEP Nodal Officer Pravin Gawas and Bardez Deputy Collector Gurudas Dessai.
