MARGAO: The State government will organise Chaturthi bazaars at prominent places in 12 talukas under Swayampurna Goa, Swayampurna Ganesh Chaturthi plan. The bazaars will be inaugurated on August 20 and will conclude on August 30.
Salcete taluka will host the bazaar at two places — Margao and Cuncolim bus stand and will be inaugurated in the presence of local MLAs and other dignitaries at 12 noon.
The stalls will be provided free of cost to the vendors and carpenters. Swayampurna Mitra appointed by the government at the village panchayat level is coordinating with the concerned stakeholders.
