PERNEM: Pernem police have registered a case against Sandeep Kumar, a native of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, for driving a rented car in a turtle nesting site on Morjim Beach and also for endangering life of other people.
According to Police Inspector Jivba Dalvi, the incident took place on Thursday when a video of the said car being driven on the beach went viral.
Accordingly, a FIR under Sections 279, 336 IPC was registered and the accused person was placed under arrest, on Friday.
Police also attached the car and conducted a Panchanama. Further investigation is in progress.
