Margao: The Nationalist Congress Party has showcaused leader Churchill Alemao for participating in the BJP meeting and supporting BJP in forming the government. The NCP has sought reasons for Churchill’s action within 7 days failing which action under the ‘Anti- Defection Law’ and NCP party constitution will be taken.
S. R Kohli, Member of Working Committee of NCP, in his letter to Churchill said, “It has come to our notice that you have violated the party discipline by participating in the meeting of BJP and supported them in formation of their government in Goa without seeking the consent of the central leadership. This is against our party constitution.”
Churchill becomes the second MLA after Vishwajeet Rane of the recently elected house to face the flak of their respective parties.
