Churchill pitches for healthcare

Recalls how desperate Parrikar was to keep him in jail

DANDO GROUNDS: It was the final act before Churchill Alemao bids for another term from Benaulim and he also looks at making a comeback into politics after being trounced in the 2012 polls along with is entire family and subsequently being jailed under Parsekar-led government.
With his entire family led by Valanka Alemao in the audience, Churchill had former MLA Radharao Gracias, tiatrist Menino de Bandar, NCP’s Kerala Transport Minister Saseendran, panchas and former panchas from Carmona, Varca, Benaulim and Seraulim to take on Caitu, AAP and the BJP as he made a clarion call for the people of Benaulim to rally behind him.
Meanwhile, Radharao Gracias stated that Churchill is the bride that comes every election since 1989 to ask his voters hand in marriage to Save Goa and he’s the only one who keeps his word. The gaffe when Radharao was speaking was the fact that he said that Churchill will do all required to ensure his constituency is in power but Churchill was quick to interrupt him and said that he will never allow the BJP to come to power.
Churchill’s poll speech, this time around was around the fact, that if voted to power he will bring to Benaulim a health centre and ambulances in Varca and Benaulim since he values life. He went a step further to say that if the government doesn’t provide, he’ll run the same from his personal wealth.
Amidst the crowd of over 4,000 people, Churchill called Parrikar a “cheat” and recalled how desperate he was to keep Churchill in jail and had stated that Churchill has a deal with GVP’s Maria, GSRP’s John and AAP’s Royella to split the votes and help Alemao win.
He cautioned the people against falling prey to deceiving candidates and urged the electorate to vote for him.
In his speech which was more like a sermon, Churchill asserted, “I have continuously prayed to God and I feel life is uncertain when we’ll return to God. Hence, I can ensure that people in my constituency enjoy good health.”
He stated voting for AAP is like splitting the secular votes.
