The government should take the initiative to curb the menace. In Margao, several migrant women carrying babies in their arms are pestering the people for alms. In my view they are not beggars but a part of a gang, which is operating freely in Goa. These young migrant women can work and earn their living, but instead of doing so, they go begging because people seeing the plight of these babies in their arms offer them money. The Government should stop this menace.
