The BSNL has become the worst service provider in Collem. The telephone exchange has been closed as cables have been damaged by a private contractor.
Bank of India which happens to be the only bank in the area stops services due to network failure. The services at the only post office which is dependent on BSNL network are affected too. Very often passports to Mollem and Collem are not delivered on time due to the malfunctioning of the BSNL.
The government is just paying lip service to the public and the day is not far when the BSNL will be sold to crony capitalist.
